Help Me Name My She-Shed — and Win a Hanging Water Garden

There is a 12 by 24-foot building sitting on my property in New Hampshire. I am in the process of moving in and getting organized. I have been wondering for months what to call it.

It started as a practical decision. The business was growing, and my dining room table had officially lost the battle to bubble wrap, packing tape, and boxes of Hanging Water Gardens waiting to go out. I needed a real space — somewhere I could spread out, stay organized, and actually feel like I was running a business rather than just surviving one. So, along with my husband, we built this space, and then I stood back and looked at this little structure on my property and thought: well, this changes everything.

And it really does.

This space is where Inspire by Gigi happens now. It is where I assemble accessories — the critter magnets, the suncatchers, the beads that go on each Heartdrop Oasis. It is where I keep inventory organized, where I stage orders before they go out the door, where I pack each box with care before it heads to the post office. Before, all of that was scattered. A box here, a bag of supplies there, the kitchen counter always half-buried in something. Now it has a home. Now I have a home — a real one, just for this work.

I am still in the process of moving in. There is more organizing to do, shelving to figure out, and probably a lot of trial and error before the layout feels exactly right. But even in its not-quite-finished state, just being in there makes me feel more like a business owner than I ever did at my dining room table.

I cannot fully explain why. Maybe it is the light in the morning. Maybe it is just having a door to close.

Here is the thing, though. A space this significant deserves a name. Not just “the shed” or “the workshop.” Something with a little warmth to it. Something that feels like mine.

I have been turning ideas over in my head — words like haven, workshop, studio. Words that feel cozy without being precious, personal without being cutesy. But honestly? I want to hear what you come up with. You have followed this journey. Some of you have been here since before the first Heartdrop Oasis went out the door. You know this brand, and in a lot of ways you are part of it. So I am asking for your help.

Leave your name suggestion in the comments below.

There are no rules except that it should feel right — something simple, something that rolls off the tongue, something that captures what this little building actually is: the heart of a small business run by one woman who cares deeply about what she makes and who she makes it for.

The person whose suggestion I choose will win a complete Heartdrop Oasis Hanging Water Garden — my flagship product — along with a set of critter magnets and a suncatcher. That is the full experience, ready to hang and fill with something beautiful.

I will announce the winner here on the blog and on social media once I have made my decision.

If you are new here: the Heartdrop Oasis is a wall-mounted glass vase garden with a UV-resistant metal frame. You fill it with water and a clipping from your favorite plant, hang it somewhere with good light, and that is really all there is to it. It is decorative, it is functional, and it is one of those things that quietly makes a space feel more like you.

Now — tell me what to call this place. I cannot wait to read what you come up with.
